[Em] Hey Andy, [N] hey there is Andy Griffith's, The Fishing Hole, the theme song.
What a great little tune to bebop around with.
So there's plenty of guys out there doing this arrangement, but I wanted to [E] put my two
cents in with it.
You know what I like about this particular song is when I go out and play some gigs,
solo gigs, I like to play, start off [C#m] with some Jerry Reid stuff and you know [Gm] that laid
back kind of thing.
[C#] [F#] But those songs people don't recognize, but they sure know this one.
[A] Now that's why I don't like to play it so darn fast.
I don't like it, [F#m] [A]
[B] [A] besides I can't [E] do it, but other than that I think it's too fast.
It's not, to me that southern front porch kind of music needs to be a little more in the pocket.
[A] [D] [F#m] [F#]
So [E] I like it more in the pocket like that.
Makes it easier to play, you can hear the harmonies, you can hear the lines moving.
So that's the way I like to do it.
So anyway, let's go through and learn this song.
There's a lot of repetition in it.
And I've written, I've shot this video three times because I keep changing the arrangement.
A lot of the things were pretty hard and I thought, you know, it doesn't need to be this hard.
Let's simplify it up.
But what I did want to do is, I don't know if [A] you noticed it, but we ended up putting
in a different octave, [Am] an octave higher, [A] which I think
[F#m] is, [E] switches everything up,
kind of makes it a [B] little more interesting.
So let's get into it with some close-ups and I hope you like it.
So you ready Barney?
Okay, here we go.
