Start Jamming...
Okay, here's the beginning the way I play it.
Actually, I've heard many [Gb] people play it better, but you know, [N] I'll show you my way.
So, first, [Bm] you know, before I do that, I'm going to take the capo [D] off and [Ab] here's the tuning.
So you can tune your guitar to this.
These are [D] the open strings.
[Gb]
[D] [A] [D]
I believe this is the tuning they use.
I got [N] a capo on the second fret.
They've kind of altered [G] the tuning a little bit.
It's a little sharp, a little flat.
I don't [N] remember.
You're going to have to adjust it anyway.
So, the beginning [Ab] the way I play it, I strum down from [E] the low E all the way to the G.
And while those are ringing, [B] first fret G string, third fret G string, second [Gb] fret D string.
[E]
[B] [E]
[B] Okay, then you do it again.
[B] Slide up to the seventh.
On the G string.
So, [E] one more time I'll do that.
I'm sure you got it by now.
[B]
[E] [B]
[E] [A] [Ab]
[E] Which is second fret [Gbm] D, open [Ab] G, first [A] fret G, pull off to [Ab] the open, [Gb] second fret D, open [E] G.
[B] [E]
[B] [E]
Easy enough, right?
[Ab] Okay, [G] now I'm going to break down the first part in really, really close [N] detail.
Believe me, it'll be worth it.
It's an interesting right hand pattern, which in my opinion kind of approximates the sound of the duet.
As closely as I've heard it, you know, it's kind of hard to do.
But [E] I think this right hand pattern, it kind of captures the basic essence of the [Em] song.
So, it might be worth learning [N] for you.
We'll do that in the next video.
