Alright, so let's, first things first, 2004 was the last time you released, you know, a group album.
Paper Airplane is your new album and you're back together recording.
Is that a weird thing?
Is that a good thing or is it just completely normal in the world that you live in?
It didn't seem weird until we got back together and realized it was like six years since we'd been in the studio together.
And we all kind of questioned that.
We said, no, no, no, it's only been, wow, six.
Yeah, it's been a long time.
Wow.
There's my favorite story, something about grilled cheeses and Paper Airplane, the title track song.
What happened with the grilled cheese inspired song?
Well, that was just kind of, it was a symptom of the song.
Yeah, I drove over to Robert Lee Kastleman's house.
He was going to work on something for us.
And I got there and that's kind of what my participation was.
A little grilled cheese that I made for myself.
He didn't even eat it.
And then about a few hours later, there it was.
So it was that was my contribution.
Yeah.
Spawned a beautiful video, which I want to talk about, which was shot, I guess, not quite a year ago, but it's been in a can, I guess.
Technically, you've got a vintage feel.
So it's been sort of fermenting.
But tell me about the video.
Oh, what do you say about the video?
Well, it starts with you.
It starts with me.
The video was fun because we got to dress in some vintage clothes, as you mentioned.
You know, we went for a very 30s period look and it was just it was it was fun to play dress up.
It was the part I enjoyed about it.
I mean, the song.
Yeah, you know, it's OK.
But dressing up, that was fun.
Maybe we can explain to the viewers sort of what the song means [B] and sort of how that fits into the theme of the video, which we're going to show in a minute.
When we talked about the album cover, wanted to have it [A] be I wanted to be [Em] kind of a [F#] boarding house and [C#m] be sort of the [B] dust bowl.
And everybody had a different job.
And [C#m] the lady who directed the [B] video and did the album packaging, she says, [G#m] well, [A] we really should probably show everybody playing their instruments since [F#m] you guys are a [C#m] band.
Yeah, [B] I guess we should.
[E] But we kind of we kind of built on what we talked about for the [B] album package, which we wanted it to [G] be very stark.
And I had been looking at photos from that time period the whole time we were recording.
And I'm fascinated with that era anyway.
And so we just kind of built on [C#m] that.
Well, congratulations.
[B] The album comes out April 12th.
It's this Tuesday.
[Am] So we're all very excited for that.
[C#] And to hold you over in the meantime, and [F#m] we've got the title [E] cut debuting on our countdown at number [Bm] 18.
Here is that video we were just talking [F#m] about.
