[Db] [Ebm]
[B] Okay, so, to [A] play this acoustic, you're going [Abm] to need to be familiar with three chords.
E minor 7th, [Ebm] open on the low E, [Bb] 2nd fret A, [B] 2nd fret [Eb] D string, [G] [Gbm] open G string, 3rd fret
B string, 3rd fret E string.
[G] Second [A] chord is a D major, open D, [Ab] 2nd fret D, [B] [Db] 3rd fret B, [Am] 2nd fret [F] high E.
[A] And a C add 9, 3rd fret [B] on the A, [Eb] 2nd fret on the D, [B] [Gbm] open G, [Db] 3rd fret on the B, [E]
[Ebm] open
on the high E.
[Gb] [B] Now the C add 9 is where all your fills are going to be, [Abm] so, what you need to get familiar
with is hammering on to the D, [Eb]
plucking all the strings, hammering on to the D.
[B] You're going to do a fill with the open [E] on [Gbm] the D, [B] playing all [Gbm] five strings.
[B] And you're also going to [E] do a fill with pulling off [Gbm] on the B, 3rd fret B [Bb] on the high [N] E.
Let me demo these chord changes really slow to help you through this.
[A] [Ebm]
[Db] [Ebm] So [E] you're going to kind of need to know that progression throughout the whole thing to
make this sound right, [Ab] without having to go to the G.
So [Ebm] down, down, up, [Db] up, down, [Ebm] round.
So down, down, [Gb] up, [Db] up, down on the D, [Ebm] down on the C add 9.
[D] Then you're going to start rolling to the [Abm] C add 9, which is going to have your [A] variations
in the first time through you're going to do.
[Ebm]
So it's down, down, down, down, hammer on, down, down, hammer on, down, down.
[N] Now when you get back into the E minor [Ab] 7, you want to start [A] with an upstroke, grabbing
at least [Gb] [B] these three high [Gb] strings, [Ebm] and ending the pattern with a downstroke.
[Abm] So let me demo this first part really slowly through, adding the [Ebm] fills.
[Db] [Ebm]
[N] I'll show you the second time through what the [A] fills are like on the C add [Ebm] 9.
[A]
So the second time through, you're going to do the same hammer on you were doing [Ab] the first time [Ebm] through.
[Gbm] You're going to lift off and play [Ebm] it open, and [A] dive back down onto it.
[B] [N] So for the second fill, everything's going to be worked off of this D string [Eb] second fret,
[Db] which is [Abm] going to include [Db] your hammer on and your open.
[B] [N] So let me play that really slow.
[Ebm] [Eb]
[Gb] [Ebm]
[N] Falling back into the beginning [Ebm] progression with an upstroke, and a full down on all six.
[A] Your third time through, it's going to be the same fill as the [Gbm] first, the [B] hammer on.
[Ebm] [A] And fourth time through, [Eb] you're going to do your last variation, which is going to be
[A] taking your ring finger off of the third fret B string, and strumming it open.
Let me kind of demo how that would be the last [Ebm] time through.
[Eb] So it's three times with the C add [Ebm] 9, [A] and three times with the ring finger pulled off
of the third fret of the B string.
[Ebm] So dropping it back on.
[Ab] So let me demo this whole pattern slow, which you [G] can just use to run through [A] the whole
song [Ebm] as you wish.
