There must be a little bit behind it.
Where does the song come from?
The song, the single itself is pretty balls to the wall kind of production.
But I like playing it as a ballad because it's pretty sensitive.
I mean, obviously it has its own meaning for me,
but I guess I started writing the song with that line,
you don't think you like people like me.
I thought it was an interesting line and something that can kind of
fit in a whole lot of different situations.
Yeah, sure.
Well, you talk about production-wise.
This was produced by Oscar Dawson.
Yeah.
That's a pretty big deal.
You must be pretty thrilled.
How was that?
Yeah, great.
Oscar's been producing my stuff from the start of this project,
which has been great, and I've learned heaps from working with him.
He's an amazing guitar player, an amazing producer, and [Gb] a great guy.
So, yeah, I'm pretty lucky to be able to work with such a legend.
So, yeah, it's good.
Right, beautiful.
You can tell because the track's an absolute ripper,
and it's been getting so much airtime on Triple J.
You've recently been the featured artist of the week on Triple J.
Yep, must be an [Em] absolute buzz.
Yeah, no, the guys at Unearthed have been really wonderful
and really getting behind my [E] songs.
And, yeah, so I'm super grateful for that.
[Eb] Yeah, I mean, I just [E] do it because I really like writing songs.
But, you know, you've got to, I guess, [Abm] celebrate the wins along the way.
So, yeah, it's good.
Of course, celebrate all the way.
Word on the grapevine is that there's an EP coming out soon.
Is that true?
Yeah, so Oscar and I are still in the process of pretty much mixing the EP.
But, yeah, it should be out in May.
[Eb] And, yeah, really excited to get it out.
It'd be nice to have my first [E] sort of record.
Yeah, for sure.

Without giving too much away, what kind of stuff can your fans expect?
Well, this song will definitely be on it.
There's another single coming out in a few weeks that will also be on it.
And then some other songs that I guess they're B-sides,
but they're a bit of fun as well.
So, yeah, hopefully it will be a good representation
of sort of what [D] I'm about.
And, yeah, people will dig it.
