Alright, so how many of you went to the workshop today?
Yeah, so we [C#m] see a lot of guys.
You can clap, it's okay.
We're [F#] among friends, yeah.
Good.
Well, so some of my students know, and I already brought this up,
that I am a student [E] of martial arts and also teach a little bit.
And I have my first degree partner there, Mr.
Jeff.
Yeah, Jeff McMillan, there I go.
[F] And then we have, so a lot of students ask,
Dave, you lost a lot of weight a lot of years ago.
Some of you bought my books, have been writing for the Harmonica for over 20 years now.
And they see these, you know, the before pictures.
This is the after.
And the before picture was, they [F#] say, Dave, how do you keep your weight off?
And I say, you know what, in martial arts you get a little heavy,
[G#] and if you get heavy you get slow, and if you get slow you get hit a lot more.
Well, there's Anthony, my other partner.
Go ahead and raise your hand.
[G] So when I say I get hit more, that's [F] the man that's doing that.
When I walk in and I'm kind of a little sore,
it's not because my back is hurting,
because his wife, Tracy, who's also a second-degree black belt,
[G#] when we work, [F#] you know, sometimes we do the taekwondo,
we've got the gear on and we're sparring,
sometimes we're doing some self-defense.
And Tracy is, let me put it this way,
Tracy is my partner who's making sure that I cover my groin [D#] in my self-defense training.
[E] All [N] right.
So part of being a blues musician is that you get to play with some great musicians,
and you just make it up as you go.
So we're going to make it up as we go.
[F#] The great Aki Kumar is going to hear this head.
He's going to memorize it.
And not only is he going to memorize it,
he's going to [G#] play in harmony with me on the second chorus.
Now, we didn't set this up.
Little did he know he was going to be tested tonight.
[E] [N] So you're going to come in on the second chorus.
You ready for this?
I do have a choice.
You do not [D#] have a choice.
[D] Stop now.
I won't.
That's you.
Just kidding.
I won and everyone else.
