[N]
[Am] Ain't no [B] sunshine when [Am] she's gone.
[Em]
[G] [Am] It's not warm when she's away.
[G] [Am] Ain't no sunshine [G] when she's [Em] gone.
She's always alone.
[Dm] Anytime she [Am] goes away,
[Em]
[G] [Am] wonder this time where she's gone.
[Em] [G] [Am]
[E] Hi.
[F#] Today we'll be learning Ain't No [E] Sunshine
[A] by Bill Withers [F#] from [G] 1971.
[E] [C] We'll be using some minor [A] chords and we'll be also [F#] using some bar chords
but I will give you some [F#m] easy alternatives to most of the [C#m] bars that we're going to be using.
Okay?
Any chords you need to get up on can [G#] be found in my tutorial
[C] Eric Blackman [A#m] Guitar Chord [F#] Tutorial Number 49.
[G#]
So if you're if [A#] you're on any of the chords look at that [F#] tutorial and then come back here and learn the song.
That's Eric [C#m] Blackman Chord [F#] Tutorial Number 49.
[A] Alright, our first chord is going to be an A minor 7.
[Am]
[C#m] And we're going to be strumming [Am] this in this way.
We're going to be using our [E] thumb and our index finger.
Alright, [F#m] let's get started.
The first thing we're [G#] going to do is go to an A [B] minor 7 chord.
We're going to use [A] the thumb and the index [C] finger to pick the chords to [A] get this effect.
[Am] Like [E] that.
So I'm going to my [A] A string and my B string for the first [F#] chord.
That's A minor 7 and we're going to strum it like [Am] this.
[C] Right after that, [F#] the [G#m] next chord is a simple E minor chord.
And [E] we're going to strum it this way.
[Em] I'm [C#] going to go down on my low E [E] string.
Now, I [B] don't have my fingers on the fretboard.
No fingers on the [E] fretboard at all.
And we get [G] E minor.
Okay, so [E] low E and then pull up on the G [G] string.
Once.
Okay, so this is what we got [C#] so far.
A [A] minor 7.
[Am] [G]
Okay.
Then [C#] we're going to go to a [F#m] G7 at the third [A] fret.
And do the same thing to that chord as we did the [F#] E minor [G] chord.
Just [G#m] like that.
Now I play [C] down on my low E string with my [G] thumb.
And then [G#] pulled up on my G [G] string.
Like that.
So this [A] is what we've got.
[Am]
[Em] [G]
And we [A#] go back to A minor 7.
[C] And rest.
This [Am] is what we have.
[G]
[C]
[Am]
[Em] [G] [Am]
[C] Now that's what [A] we're going to play [G#] during the verses.
[E] And then when we change during the [A] verse, we're going to go to E [E] minor 7.
[G#] Which is up here at the [E] seventh fret.
And we're going to strum it the same [Em] way.
Four times.
And then D minor [Dm] 7.
And [Am] then go back to A minor 7.
[G] [Am]
[A] So again, [Em] that was E minor 7.
D minor [Dm] 7.
[Am] [G]
[Am]
Now [C#] friends, that [E] is the entire [G#] song.
Okay.
[E] So if you learn that, you'll be able to play the entire song.
[C#m] Now I'm going to show you an [F#] alternative chord that you can [E] play for the E minor [Em] 7.
[A] You can do this.
[E]
[F#] Just put your finger [Em] here.
[E] And get an E minor down [Em] here.
Right.
So you'd have to go.
[C#m] And then you go to a D minor 7 alternative.
[F#] Which is here.
[A] [Dm]
And go.
[A] And then go down to the A minor 7.
[C]
So that would [E] go like this.
[Dm]
[Am] [E]
[G] [Am]
That's much easier to play.
But the bar chords [G]
sound a whole lot better.
[F] [Am]
So I'm going to leave that [G#] up to you.
[E] And that's all we [G#] need to know to play Ain't [E] No Sunshine by Bill Withers.
[A#] And as I said before, to get a close up look at these type of chords,
go to chord tutorial number 49 on this channel.
Thanks a lot for stopping by.
And have a great day.
