[D#] [G#] I feel like this guitar will give any player a tremendous [F] amount of range.
A lot of times I ask myself, how [G#] much do I really need?
There are certain things I call for a little bit [D#] extra.
This guitar, technically I'd be able to play anything that our [C#] group has written 7, 8 or 9 string now.
[G#] However, we haven't really [G] written on the 9 string yet.
[C#]
[F] I'm not ruling that out.
[D] But now having the 9, [G#] it's really cool.
[C#] I don't want to say it's my main guitar.
[G#] It's another [N] tool, exactly.
I don't want to limit myself.
If there's something I feel like I could only [C#] create on this instrument, I wouldn't be afraid to try it.
I was actually, [F#] to be honest with you, pretty [F#m] surprised when I picked it up.
[F] I was immediately able to play [G] a lot of higher, more melodic things,
like stuff that was written years [G#] ago for our group on the 7 string.
That's actually the first thing I did with it, to try to get comfortable with navigating around the strings.
[G] That's actually the first thing I did when I picked up the 7 string for the first time.
I learned all my [Fm] favorite 6 string songs on the 7, just so I could make that,
be able to navigate [G#] around the bottom string, because it doesn't necessarily have to be there.
And then once I got comfortable doing that, [C#] then I started incorporating the 7 string into my writing and playing.
And I did [D#] the same thing on the 8 string.
[G#] And then the first time I picked this up, I actually tried one of our 7 string songs right away,
and was amazed by the [D#] playability of the neck and [C#] how fast it was.
The frets are a little bit bigger, but it's definitely not [D#] inhibiting my playing at all,
which is something I got excited about right away with this guitar.
