[N] Hello guys, this is Amos Dull Music and in today's lesson, I'm going to teach you
how to play Dream On by Aerosmith.
I'll be teaching you how to play the very beautiful instrumental that goes like this
that starts off the song and throughout the song.
It's very awesome.
Check it out.
It goes like [Fm] this.
[Cm] [D]
[C#] [Fm]
[Cm] [D]
[C#] [Fm] [A#]
[F]
[G#] Alright, very beautiful.
Let's go ahead and learn this beautiful instrumental right now.
We'll break it up into a few parts.
It's easier to learn.
Let me see.
Break it up into about 1, 2, 3.
Three parts.
First part, right hand starts on [C] the double note.
It's the middle C, C, A.
What you [Fm] do, you play the F and A flat double note together and down to the middle C.
[C] Alternate
between that for two [Fm] times.
Repeat for a second time.
[C] And then now change to double note E flat [Cm] G and then alternate down to C for two times.
That's it for the [Fm] first part.
There you go.
There's like two patterns here.
F, A flat double note plus a C twice.
1, 2, and then E flat G [Cm] double note plus a C twice.
1, 2.
Like that.
[Fm] Just like that.
So 1, [Cm] 2, 1, 2.
Like that.
Alright, and left hand, which is a bass note, you can do [F] it as octave.
If you can't reach an octave, just do single notes.
So the two bass notes are F [D#] and E flat.
If you can't reach [F] octave, just do [D#] F, E flat like that.
Two hands together goes like this.
So it [Fm] goes, tsuke da, [Cm] tsuke da.
Just like that.
[Fm] Let's learn it again.
Tsuke da, [Cm] tsuke da, tsuke da.
There we go.
Moving on.
Moving on to the second part.
Right hand continues.
Goes double note, D, A [G#] flat, and alternate down to [C] C for two times.
[D] 2, [C] and then change to D [C#] flat and G double note, and then C.
[C] Alternate that two [C#] times as well.
[C]
Like that.
[D] Alright, so it's like a similar pattern, but just with different notes this time.
So D, A flat double note plus C twice.
[C] D flat, G double note [C#] plus C twice.
1, 2.
[C] Just like that.
When [D] it's faster.
1, [C] 2, 1, 2.
Just like that.
Left hand.
We have two bass [D] notes.
So D octave [C#] and D flat octave.
If you can't reach [D] an octave, just do [C#] an individual note like that.
[D] Two hands together goes like this.
So it goes, tsuke da, [C#] tsuke da.
The same placement, just like on [D] the first of each of the phrases.
Tsuke da, [C#] tsuke da.
There you go.
So back to back, the [Fm] two parts we've learned so far will be played like this.
[Cm]
[D] [C#]
Moving [Fm] on to the third part.
Third part, right hand goes like this.
Goes F, A flat double note and then down to C for two times.
And then F, B flat double note two [A#] times [Fm] plus a C.
And then F, C double note two times plus a C.
And finish off with another F, C like that.
There you go.
You can see there's a pattern.
It's like F, [A#m] A flat, F, [Fm] B flat, F, C.
Going up in the scale whilst alternating between the middle C notes.
So like this, one, two, one, two, one, two.
Finish on another F, C like that.
[F] All the left hand is doing is just holding one note, just holding an F bass note.
Okay, and then you just play it together on the first [Fm] note of both hands.
So it goes, tsuke da, hold the left hand like that whilst the right hand is playing.
There you go.
Alright, let's learn it again.
So, tsuke da, beautiful.
Alright, so back to back, all the parts of this lesson will be played like this.
[Cm]
[D] [C#]
[Fm]
[Cm] [D]
[C#] [Fm]
[A#] [F]
Repeat.
There you go.
So [G#m] awesome.
Okay, so I hope you enjoyed this lesson by the way.
