I would hide behind this microphone,
hide [E] behind a smile,
[G#m] but deep [F#] inside I was broken, I was [F#m] hurting, _
[F#] and _ anybody that's ever been there,
[G#] it's not a good place to be at all.
[Em] _ [E] And night after night I'd get on my knees
and this song my father [F#] wrote _

[E] But night after night I would [G#m] get on my knees
and I'd begin to [D#m] pray. _
_ And I'd begin [A] to call upon this man [C#] named Jesus
that we've talked about all night.

And he'd wrap his loving arms [E] around me
and he'd tell me, you know what Adam,
[F#] you're gonna make it.
You know [B] sometimes when you step out of your [F#] comfort zone,
_ _ it's hard.
[F#m] You know I was cool with standing back here
playing my harmonica,
that's where I thought God [G#m] wanted me to be.
But I found out later [E] that God wanted [G] to take me
to a [B] greater [E]
level in him.
And sometimes we have to get out of that [D]
uncomfortable [Em] place
for God to take you to that level.
[F#m] _ _ _ But [F#] I was still scared, I ain't gonna lie to you.
_ I was scared to death. _
_ _ [E] And one night we was at a Holy Ghost [B] service,
man there was people [E] being, shouting all over the place.
There was [A] people being set free, [G#] people being [E] delivered,
[B] families being put back together.
[F#] And God told me, he said,
if you'll go _ _ and lay it down for the last time,
he said, I'll remove that cloud of doubt and fear
from [G#] your mind.
_ [G#m] And I remember my wife, she laid her hand on my back.
My father was [E] actually there that night.
And he began to pray for me
and they began to pray for me _ like they never [B] had before.
And they didn't know really what I was going through.
My wife did [E] because she knows [B] me.
But [F#] my father had no idea what I was going through.
At that moment, I felt my joy come [B] back.
I felt my peace come [Em] back.
I felt this spiritual boldness that I've never had before. _
And now [D] I'm on a mission.
_ I said, bring it on Lord, bring it on [G#m] there.
Because I'm equipped [E] with the [F#m] power, _ hallelujah.
_ _ I'm equipped with a power that can heal you know what?
Because [B] it lives inside of me.

The [C] other day we was on the bus, and _ we always have a little Bible study.
We just started [G] this Bible study on the bus.
_ _ _ Normally it's about 10 or [C] 15 minutes long,
maybe a little longer than [D] that, [C] and we'll pray afterwards.

Our Bible study went on for about three hours, [Cm] and it turned into church.
I'll tell you, we had church on that [Dm] bus.
God come in and He spoke a word to [C] us.
It was [F] amazing.
You know, _ [C] you can have [D] church sometimes [C] in the bus.
[D] You can have church at [C] your home, you just [G] gotta want it.
You just gotta want it. _
I [Cm] love God.
