6 IMPOSSIBLE Dream Theater vocal lines - James LaBrie chords

[D]
Welcome back friends, we have one of the best metal singers of all time today and his 6
craziest or most impossible vocal lines.
Starting with this madness of [N] a vocal line in the song Take the Time.
No one can quite match this vocal line, it's the greatest thing I've ever heard.
Only second to him.
[C#] Sorry, I got distracted there.
Here's James' vocal on [C#m] Take the [B] Time.
You got
[E] [F#]
[N] the cup, he pissed on the floor.
And this [Fm] vocal is only getting spot number 6 because the screams that will come later
in the list are the definition of crazy singing, which is the name of the channel, but I did
consider having the vocals in Take the Time getting spot number 1 because of the sheer
amount of vocal skill required to sing them.
The fact that James is able to [F] enunciate words so perfectly in such an extreme [C#] high range
is nothing short of mind-blowing.
And talking of insane high notes, [F#] here's a great distorted scream [G#] by James in [E] 1993.
[F#] But
[E] [B] [F#]
[A] [C#] [G#] somehow we have something even better, a combination [Fm] of both the previous vocal skills
merged into one, [A#m] even higher singing and great [C#] enunciation, which at this range is actually impossible.
And don't miss the awesome distortion when he's finishing singing the word [N] me.
Did [C#] [C]
[G] [A]
[Fm] you catch the detail of how he finishes singing the word me?
It's just the cherry on top of such an insane vocal line.
I mean, damn, it must have felt amazing for him to be hitting that high note.
And we all know the best feelings in the world are going for a walk at 3am, eating tacos,
realizing everything's connected and we're all part of the same infinite consciousness,
and hitting a high note [C#] you've been struggling with.
Leave a like if you relate.
[N] This [Fm] next vocal line has James showing off his lung capacity by sustaining a D5 for [F] a
ridiculous amount of time and with a beautiful [C] tone.
[G]
[C] [Gm]
[Em]
[Fm] And talking of going insanely high and for an insane amount of time, this next vocal
line in Learning to Live has all of that, only it's 4 semitones higher than the previous one.
[E] Somehow.
[D]
[C#m] And
[F#]
[Fm] if you thought things couldn't get any crazier, spot number 1 might just be [G#] the craziest
[C#] thing you'll ever listen to.
This scream is [Fm] in a live show, which is insane on its own, is higher than the previous [G#] one,
and has one of the best vocal distortions I've ever heard from [F] James.
