Real popular little picking pattern and progression that I'm going to teach you right now.
I tune the guitar down a half step, so we're in E flat tuning.

Let me show you that [Bb] little intro.
Alright, _
_ _ [F] _ _ [Bbm] _ _ [Ab] _ [Gb] _
_ _ [Ab] _ _ _ _ _ [Bbm]
so basically we're going to take a B minor bar chord.
Remember, we're tuned down a half step. _ _ _
[Bb] Okay, so we've got this B minor chord.
And we're going to start by plucking this A string here, _
_ _ [Bbm] _ [Bb] followed by this little row of strings. _
[Bbm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bb] _ _ [Bbm] _
So we go down the row and back to the D string.
So watch my pick here with this thingy-ma-jabber.
_ _ _ _ [C] We're going to take [Bbm] our middle finger off and _ [F] _ basically do that same row pattern here.
Check it out.
_ _ _ [F] _ _ _ [Bb] _ _
[Bbm] _ _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ [Bb] _
_ [Bb] So the thing that we're going to add is the middle finger is still off and we're going
to add a B pick and a G pick.
_ So when we put it all together nice and slow, it looks like this.
_ [Bbm] _
_ [F] _ _ _ _ [Bb] One more time.
_ _ [G] _ _ [Bb] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _
[Bb] Middle finger is going to come down and we're going to go down the row from [Bbm] the B string. _ _
So we have this then when we add it all together.
_ _ _ [F] _ _
[Bbm] _ _ _ [Bb] _ All the way down to there.
Okay, so we're doing this little picking pattern.
[Bbm] _ _ [F] _ _ [Bbm] _
And once we get to that D, that D string right here, _ _ [Ab] _
we have to hit an open [Gb] A into a G chord.
Or actually, a G chord.
Either way [Bb] on the G chord.
So check it out.
_ [Bbm] _ _ _
_ _ So it's [Bb] open A to G [Gb] and _ with that same pattern, right after, we're going to go right down
the row, E, A, D, G.
_ [Bb] So let's add all that together.
[Bbm] _ _
[F] _ _ _ [Ab] _ _ [Gb] _ One more time.
_ [Bbm] _ _ _ _ _ [Gb] _ _
So once we go down the row to that G, we go back down to the D, skip _ the A, hit the low
E string to [Eb] an A chord [Ab] and you hit the open A string.
[Bb] And we'll pick it up all the way up to that point.
[Bbm] _ _ _ [Gb] _ _
[Ab] _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ _ _
_ [Gb] _ _ _ [Ab] _ _ _
So holding that A, I go D, G, [Eb] D when I'm picking as far as the [Ab] strings.
_ [Bbm] _ _ _ _ _ [Gb] _ _
[Ab] _ _ _ And that's it.
So we have O, open A, D, G, D, B, G, D, A. _
_ _ _ _ So all together [Bb] really slow. _
_ _ [F] _ _ [Bbm] _ _ [Ab] _ [Gb] _
_ _ [Ab] _ _ _ _ _ _
[Bbm] _ _ _ _ _ _ [Gb] _ _
_ [Ab] _ _ _ _ _ [Bb] _ _
_ [Bbm] _ _ _ _ [Abm] So start with that.
