Start Jamming...
[D] Alright, and now this is probably the part that a lot of people [N] were anticipating, the
hair blows part.
This part's not too difficult.
[Bb] So [Dm]
we'll go over your left hand first.
[Ab] Your left hand's always going to be playing, whatever chord you're playing, it's always
going to have a Bb [Bb] in the bass, okay?
You're always going to keep that Bb going steady.
So there are four different chords that it's playing.
[Ab] So the first one is a [Bb] Bbmaj7, which is a [D] Bb, D, F, and an A.
[Bb] The next one is [G] a Bb7, or just [Em] B dominant [Gb] 7, which is B, D, F, but [Abm] Ab instead.
[Bb]
[N] And then the next one is an E major, but [F] again, you keep that [Eb] Bb bass.
So you're just playing a different inversion.
Instead of playing it like this, you play it down here.
And the fourth and [Ebm] final chord [Ab] is an Eb minor, [Ebm]
[B] okay?
[Ab] And then your right hand is doing [Dm] this melody.
You might not actually
Okay, it's capturing the octave.
So I'm just doing octaves here, but essentially you're going to play [Gm] D, G, D, G, D.
And then the fourth one, you go D, [A] G, C.
So it looks [Gm] like this.
[Cm] [Gm]
[A] [Fm] And if your hands [D] aren't long enough to reach for octaves, you can just use a singular note
if you have to.
So you put that together though, [E] and then you get this,
[Bb] [Gm] [Eb]
[Bb] [Gm]
[Eb]
[D] okay?
[N] When you're doing the melody with your right hand, your left hand is going to stay the exact same as it [Bb] was.
[Eb]
[Ebm] [G] And your right [Em] hand melody is going to [C] look like this.
[Bm] [C] [D]
[Gm] [C] [G]
[Gm]
[A] [Dm] It's going to [Eb] be some variation of that.
And you put that together with your left hand.
[Bb]
[Eb] [Ebm]
[Bb]
[Eb] [Ebm] [Bb]
[Eb]
[Ebm] [D] Okay.
[N] And then the next part, this part, this part's pretty easy actually.
Just two chords, [Eb] okay?
So this is your first chord.
So in your [Gm] right hand, you have a G, a B flat, a D, and then G again on top.
Again, if you don't want to stretch that octave, you can leave that other G out.
But this just adds a little more.
[Eb] And then with that E flat bass note in context, that looks like an E flat major 7.
[Db]
[Eb] So [Ab] this next chord that you're playing here is the D flat major 7.
So everything [Eb] kind of just shifted down a whole tone.
[Db]
[Eb] [Db]
[Dm] [Gm]
[Bb] [F] That is the melody.
So what you do is you play it like [Eb] this.
[Db]
[Eb]
[Gbm] [Fm] [Db] So what that looks like, [G]
[Gm] [Abm] what you're doing is you're [Eb] playing minor thirds chromatically.
[G] So you go down from this G, [Gb] [F] F sharp, [E] F, E.
[Gm] [Gbm] [Em]
[E] And then you land on that D flat chord.
[Db] [N] It's going to take some practicing to get the speed and to land on the chord properly.
But with enough practice, you'll get it.
So overall, it'll sound like [Eb] this.
[Db] [Eb]
[Em] [Db]
