Even if the topics are dark sometimes, there's still _ a joy to singing them.
So the point [B] of us doing it, I think, is just to be taking [F] part in an artistic venture that [G] is just fun and feels right, [Dm] feels natural.

_ _ _ [Bm] _ [B] there are times that I can't listen to Elliot [Bm] Smith at all. _ _
It's all or nothing.
It's not like he becomes part of a rotation.
It's [B] like I'm listening to [B] the works of Elliot Smith or I'm listening to everything else that I listen [Bm] to.
I guess because a lot of _ _ [Eb] anyone who's an Elliot [E] Smith fan _ takes the lyrics and [Bm] relates them to themselves.
_ _ Being such a personal artist and everyone taking the songs and when they listen to them and making them their own,
I feel like that's kind of what we're doing, too.
I feel like _ _ when Seth's singing them, I forget for a moment that they're Elliot Smith songs.
When I'm [Ab] singing them, it's the same thing.

I've been [Gb] working on it for the last almost three years.

_ I've been working at my home, working in Jessica's home, working in hotel rooms around the world.
I _ worked [Bm] on the song Pitsila for a few hours in a hotel room in Munich.
A lot of effort had to be put in to make it happen just because _ [Em] _ we're real busy.
I _ _ think it speaks to [G] the _ importance of the project to both of us that we [Bm] made the time to get it done.
