Hello chaps, welcome once again to John
a comparison video between this guitar, a [G] genuine PRS, albeit the Korean [F#] made one,
it's still got Paul's name on the headstock, and this one, this is my Harley [G] Benton CST24,
[C#] which you will remember now has Vanson Alnico 2 PAF style pickups in it, and basically what I've
got lined up is a short little tone test, a comparison between the two guitars basically.
[B] What I've done is I've labelled the guitars guitar A and [G#] guitar B and you [B] will hear a short
clean sound from both guitars on the neck pickup and then a more dirty sound [F#] on the bridge pickup
with kind of the volume control rolled off a little bit to clean it up a bit to get more of a
crunchy bluesy classic rock kind of tone and then the volume control wound all the way up for a
full-on [B] lead sound.
When I used to do comparison videos like this I used to be trying to be very
very comprehensive and you know kind of do bridge pickup, middle pickup, bridge position, middle
position, neck position on [F] two guitars so there's six sounds [G] there and I would do [E] each of those six
across a clean sound, a [G] crunch sound and a high gain lead sound and it was a total of like [D] 18
sounds and [F#m] it just went on and on and on and went [F] and became a little bit [F#] boring even for me to look
at so
[C#] heaven knows what you lot must have thought when I was doing videos like that.
So I've tried
to keep it short and brief here and [E] here is the two guitars guitar A and guitar B.
Can you tell
them apart?

So there you go.
Could you hear the difference?
If you could which one did [C#] you prefer?
Which one sounded like the PRS and which one sounded like a [G] Harley Benton with Vanson pickups
in and if you want to know which guitar is which then you're going to have to watch the next video
because I ain't telling you here.
Feel free [C#] to speculate and have a chat in the comments section
about which guitar you think was which guitar and yeah that's pretty much where we're at for today.
I hope you've enjoyed this short comparison and as I said there is a proper full [G#] in-depth look at
this guitar coming [G] in the next few days so stay tuned for that [C#] and as always I will close by
saying if you would like some tailored one-to-one guitar tuition then give me a shout via the details
at the end of this video.
If you live on Teesside in the northeast of England you can come along for
a face-to [B]-face lesson in this very room or wherever you are in the world you can have a lesson via
Skype and whichever way you do it your first lesson is of course free so what have you got to lose?
And with that I'll say thank you very much for watching I'll look forward to seeing you all
again next time [B] around thanks for watching and bye for now folks.
