[N] [Bb] Hi, this is TJ [C] with Piano Clubhouse and today I'm going to show you how to play You Deserve by Crystal Rooker.
[Bb] This will probably be one of the quickest tutorials I've ever done.
It's only got five [Bbm] chords in it.
[Db] There's lots of embellishments that the piano does [Bb] that you can probably add on to if you like.
I'm going to show you the [Db] basic chords, the basic five chords that are in the song to get you through it.
[Eb] I'll show you a few extra [B] things you can do to kind of spice it up a little bit.
[C] But for the most [Db] part, it's a fairly [Bb] simple and repetitive [Db] song, okay?
[F] So the left hand is going to go
We're in the key of [C] Bb.
Let me start with that.
We're in the key of Bb.
Bb has two accidentals.
[Bb] Bb [C]
and [Eb] Eb.
[G] Rest are white keys.
[D] [Bb]
All right, [F]
[Eb]
[Dm]
[G] [Cm]
so the left hand is going to start off
[F] Your primary bass note is going to be F.
Throw that fifth in there, which is C.
F and C.
Down to [Eb] Eb and Bb.
[D] Then D.
[G] And then G.
Then [C] C.
Okay, and you can walk it up.
[F] F, Eb, [Eb]
D,
[D] and G,
[G]
then C.
[C] And then walk it up to C, D, Eb.
[Eb] [F] C, F.
Right hand.
Bb major chord.
And I'm going to show you kind of the
It does different [Db] inversions,
but I'm going to show you kind of the most [C] simplest inversions [B] so your hand doesn't have to travel as [Bb] much.
So we'll be right here in the Bb root position.
Bb, D, F, and C.
[F] This is over F.
Left hand goes to Eb.
[Eb] Right hand, you were here.
Just move this Bb down to A.
Lift up to D.
We're now on an F major [F] chord over [Eb] Eb.
[Dm]
Left continues to move down to [F] D.
[Dm] Right hand, you're just going to move this A down to Ab.
[Db] Left hand goes to G.
[Dm] Right [G] hand
goes to B, D, and F.
This B diminished chord over G.
Lastly,
[Cm]
left hand goes to C.
Right hand, Bb, C, Eb,
[B] Gb.
Left hand is going to walk C, D, [Eb] Eb, [F] F.
Right [Cm] hand, you can do
that chord over the C.
[Dm]
Left hand goes to D.
You can just bring these two [D] black notes down to [Dm] D and F.
So
[Ebm] back and forth between [Bb] these two.
These two fingers stay on the Bb and [Ebm] C.
These two
[Eb] shift between Eb [C] and Gb [Bb] down to D and F.
[Cm] [Dm] [Eb]
[Bb] Then you end up on this Bb chord that we started out on over F.
[Eb]
[F]
[G] [Eb]
[F]
[Dm] [G] [Cm]
[Ebm] [F] All right.
That's the whole song.
[C] We're four minutes into [Bb] the video and that's pretty much it.
[Db] Now let's show you [F] a few extra simple things you can [D] do to kind of spice it up.
Of course with the [Db] song, it does
the same thing over and over again.
You [Cm] kind of want to do some different things musically so [Bb] that it doesn't get so monotonous.
[Ebm] So [F] you can always do octaves.
Whatever chord you hit here in this octave, this plate,
you kind of roll it in between [Db] measures and when you have some time to throw [F] it in, just throw it octaves higher.
[G]
[Eb]
[F]
Okay.
So octaves [Dm] are always good.
[G] [Cm] Just kind of fill up some of that dead space.
[Eb] Let's see.
